Tragedy can force us to open our eyes and our
hearts
It can expose and reveal our true nature
and our true character
Tragedy, has a way of forcing us to open our eyes, our minds and our hearts, it can make us refocus on what is truly important in life, it can help us find our true selves and reflect on who we really are, and on who we were meant to be. It can make us reevaluate our priorities and get a better grip on our lives.
That is what happened to the 11 year old girl in our story; The Diary of angels. It was in the aftermath of a great tragedy, that her eyes were opened and she would discover the real meaning and purpose of her life.
Sometimes, tragedy is the only thing, that will wake us up and get our attention. Serious blows, setbacks, a major health or economic scare, a crises or a traumatic event will open our eyes, and force us to take a good, hard, long, honest look into our heart and souls, and make the necessary, and the needed changes and improvements in our lives.
They will often reveal any hidden secrets, and expose our true nature and character, the ones that we try to hide from ourselves. And somewhere in the ashes that are left behind, after a crisis and tragedy has passed, we will discover new opportunities.
Opportunities for personal growth and improvement. There will be opportunities for self discovery, in understanding what makes us tick. There will be opportunities to help us to get to know ourselves better. Opportunities to help to us to appreciate life, and what we have a whole lot more. Tragedy and crisis, can be a wake up call and give us a swift kick in our complacency. But that's just what it needed sometimes, something that can get attention like nothing else in the world.
Tragedy can make us do a 360, and completely turn our lives around, it can change the course and the direction of our lives.
