Your past does not condemn you or define you,

your future is not written in stone

No matter how bad or how painful your past childhood memories might be, your future is still yet to be written. You cannot change what happened in the past, but your future is what ever you make it. Your past does not condemn you to a lifetime of pain and misery.

Some of us may have experienced a very painful childhood, we have carried  those traumatizing memories with us for most of our adulthood. They still haunt us day and night, they shape our thoughts and our actions. It is very hard to just forget them and move on. They affect almost everything we say and do, they still hurt, many of them are just as painful today as they were when we were children. So how, do we move on, and let go of the past so that it does not ruin  our future?

What happens to us in our childhood affects almost very aspect of our lives, our relationships, our friendships, our attitudes, the way we see ourselves and the people around us. The memories of our childhood are so etched in our hearts that it is almost impossible not to think about them and relive them.

Our bad unpleasant memories may make us feel very insecure, they may cause us  to lack confidence in ourselves, and make it hard for us to open up, to get close and bond properly with others, we may not able to completely trust anyone. One way to deal with painful childhood memories is realize that even thought you may feel trapped by them, you are in charge of your life, you are free to decide how, your life turns out what you do now is up to you.

Do not let the past become your prison, do not condemn yourself for the pain and the harm that some someone else caused you, they may have stolen your innocence but they cannot steal your life. Do not let the past control your future, you have a chance to rebuild your life and make a better future for yourself. You are not condemned to serve a  life sentence because of someone hurt you or betrayed your trust, don't let what they did scar you for the rest of your life.

Do not let them win, do not give them that kind of power, or control and over you, they are not worth your spending another second or moment of your life on. Do not allow them to keep ruining your life and making everyday miserable. Learn and grow from what happened to you and let it make you stronger, but do not keep reliving it, or it will destroy you and ruin your chances of finding love, of being loved, and of giving love. If you cannot let go of the past, it will never let go of you.

If you let it, the past will eat away at you like a cancerous tumor that eats away at your bones. It is like a slow poison or an acid that devours you from the inside out. It won't be easy to let go, it begins by changing the dialog and the conversations in our head. Once we do that, we will begin to change our lives. When we change the way we see things and the way we think about things the world becomes a bigger, brighter and a much happier place.

It will not be quick or easy, but it will be worth the effort, the rewards, the fringe benefits, the satisfaction and the blessings will be far beyond what you can ever imagine.

Remember these words of wisdom; During the darkest moments we must focus to see the light. for in those dark moments there are still stars burning bright. It is during  the wort times of your life, when you see the true colors of the people who say they care about you.

The strongest people, are not those who show bravery and strength in front of us, they are the ones who win the battles that we know nothing about.

There are lessons to be learned even in our darkest moments, it is our duty to dig deep enough to find them, to find a glimmer of hope and a

pearl of wisdom.

When we cannot control what happens in our life, try to control the way we respond and react to them, there is where your true power lies. It is the fears that we refuse to face that becomes our limitations in life.

It's funny that when things seem to be the darkest that we discover beauty in the most unexpected places. It is the cracks and the holes in our armor that allows the inner light to shine through.

Everything that you have been through and are going through, is preparing you for the bright happy future that is still in front of you.    Because the best times of your life are still in front of you, not behind you. Sometimes the darkest moments, paves the way for the brightest tomorrows.
